Photos
For Colette, photography was a form of poetry. She took thousands of photos, and I chose about a hundred of them almost at random. Above all, Colette wanted to evoke emotions. But there was also a deeper purpose. Most of her photos are about the transience of all the beauty and perfection that surrounded her. She wasn't interested in appearances, she tried to look beyond, to the point of using photographs of stones, light and shadows, structures, colours and reflections to disrupt our vision and invite us to go elsewhere, to look differently.
